Pamoja African Alliance

Pamoja African Alliance emerged in the lead-up to the 2022 election cycle as part of the wider reorganisation of Kenyan party politics. The party is most prominently associated with Amason Jeffah Kingi, a senior Coast leader and former Governor of Kilifi, who has used it as a platform for regional influence and national political engagement. Like many newer Kenyan parties, PAA’s relevance is shaped less by long historical roots and more by leadership identity, regional base, and coalition strategy. It reflects a familiar pattern in Kenyan politics: parties forming around influential figures and regional blocs, then negotiating their place inside broader national alliances.
