The main dates voters need, taken from the key-dates guide. The legally binding text is Kenya Gazette Notice No. 13497, published by the IEBC on 20 August 2026.
Where reports of the notice differ by a day, the Gazette wins. Check the IEBC before you rely on a date.
For voters
- Now. Check your registration at verify.iebc.or.ke.
- 29 May to 11 June 2027. The IEBC registers candidates, on different days for different positions.
- 29 May to 7 August 2027. Official campaign period. Campaigns stop 48 hours before polling day.
- Tuesday 10 August 2027. Polling day, 6 am to 5 pm.
