Burkina Faso’s Traore threatens to sever ties with European Union

Burkina Faso’s President Ibrahim Traore said his country was ready to break off relations with the European Union if European lawmakers adopted new resolutions against Burkina Faso.
“We wrote to them and warned them, and we told them to withdraw this kind of resolution,” Traore said during a press briefing on Sunday (September 27).
“If they continue to take this kind of action, we will break off completely. We are ready to endure any kind of suffering, but we will get through it.”
