At least 28 people have been killed in a head-on collision involving a passenger bus and a timber truck in Morogoro, eastern Tanzania.
The accident occurred on Friday, claiming the lives of 27 people travelling on the bus and the truck driver, according to Morogoro Regional Fire and Rescue Force chief Joseph Mwasabeja.
Mwasabeja said the passenger bus burst into flames following the collision and was completely burnt out, making rescue efforts difficult.
