Chagua is a free, neutral guide to Kenya’s 2027 General Election. This page says who runs it, how it is paid for, and the rules it follows, so you can judge it for yourself.

Who runs Chagua

Chagua is run by Clickjenga Ltd, a Kenyan company. Chagua is not linked to any political party, candidate, government body or campaign.

How Chagua is paid for

No funder, advertiser or partner can change what Chagua publishes about any candidate or party.

Our rules

What we sell, and what we never sell

Candidates and organisers can pay for extra content on their own profile or event, such as more photos or video. These extras are the same price for everyone and never change position in any list.

We never sell or share anything about visitors or voters: not your sign-in, not your phone number, not how you voted in a race. Read the privacy policy.

Open data

The list of everyone on Chagua (name, seat, party, stage and profile link) is free to download and updated daily. Newsrooms, researchers and civic groups can use it with the credit “Data: Chagua”. Media can also embed our widgets.

Data protection

Clickjenga Ltd’s registration with the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner is in progress. [UPDATE with the registration number once issued.]
