The Central Organization of Trade Unions (COTU) has refuted allegations of interfering in the internal leadership affairs of the Kenya Union of Domestic, Hotels, Educational Institutions, Hospitals and Allied Workers (KUDHEIHA).
The rebuttal follows a statement issued by disgruntled union members who were reportedly removed from office during union elections held on Oct. 6, 2026.
In a statement on Friday, COTU Secretary General Francis Atwoli dismissed the claims as misleading and calculated to divert attention from constitutional breaches.
