Amsons Group Acquires Oryx Energies Tanzania business in a Historic Energy Transaction

DAR-ES-SALAAM, Tanzania Oct 18 — Pan-African Energy and Manufacturing conglomerate Amsons Group has acquired Geneva-based Oryx Energies’ Tanzania downstream business in a transaction worth more than US$ 230 million.
In the landmark deal, a pan-African enterprise is acquiring an oil major’s assets, and Amsons Group will now control all the downstream activities Oryx previously conducted in Tanzania.
The transaction is part of Oryx Energies’ ongoing strategic review of its downstream asset portfolio in Africa.
