Cabinet Secretary for Education, Julius Migos Ogamba, has urged lecturers to resume teaching activities after they declared a national strike on Friday over the implementation of the 2025–2029 Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
Speaking at the World Teachers’ Day celebrations on Monday, CS Ogamba said all historical arrears under the 2017-2021 and 2022-2025 CBAs have been paid and the same goodwill shall be extended to the current CBA.
“It is with this same spirit that we are committed to timely negotiation and conclusion of future Collective Bargaining Agreements, including the 2025-2029 CBA,” Ogomba said.
