A building that formerly housed Club Avenida collapsed during a reported night-time demolition along Moi Avenue in Nairobi’s Central Business District (CBD) on Friday, October 16, 2026, leaving four people injured.
The injured were taken to the hospital for treatment, while several others were feared trapped beneath the rubble as emergency teams launched rescue operations.
According to an alert by Armistice Security Consultancy, the incident occurred next to MKU Union Towers, opposite the Mangereza DT Sacco building.
