Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja has ditched the ruling United Democratic Alliance (UDA) to join the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM).
Governor Sakaja abandoned President William Ruto’s party on Monday, and now seeks to successfully vie for a second term with an ODM ticket in the 2027 General Election.
At the party’s headquarters in Chungwa House, Nairobi, he was welcomed by the ODM Deputy Party Leader Simba Arati, party National Chairperson Gladys Wanga, among other principals.
