National Assembly Minority Leader Junet Mohamed has dismissed claims that Parliament passed a law to stop the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) from livestreaming election results ahead of the 2027 General Election.
Speaking in Lodwar, Turkana County, on Friday, October 23, 2026, Junet termed the reports false, arguing that critics had misrepresented the changes approved by Parliament.
“They are now saying that yesterday we passed a law removing electronic transmission of election results. That is completely false,” Junet said.
