The Officer Commanding Station (OCS) of Lumakanda Police
Station in Lugari Sub-County, Kakamega County, has been charged with allegedly
defiling a 14-year-old girl.
The accused appeared before Senior Resident Magistrate
Dorcas Mac’andere, where the prosecution opposed his release on bail and bond.
According to the Office of the Director of Public
Prosecutions (ODPP), the OCS faces three counts of defilement, committing an
indecent act with a child contrary and abuse of a position of authority
contrary to the law.
