NAIROBI, Kenya, Nov 2 -Kasarani MP Ronald Karauri has launched a scathing attack on Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja following his move from the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) to the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), accusing him of using a change of political party to escape scrutiny over his performance at City Hall.

Karauri, who is seeking to become Nairobi governor in the 2027 General Election, questioned Sakaja’s decision to abandon the party that sponsored his 2022 gubernatorial victory, arguing that changing political colours would not erase the failures of his administration.

The legislator listed collapsed buildings, persistent flooding, garbage accumulation and unpaid bursaries among the issues he believes should define the governor’s record rather than his new political affiliation.
