Kenya Electricity Generating Company (KenGen) has appointed Ronoh Kibet Charles as its next Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, effective February 1, 2027.
Kibet, currently the company’s General Manager for Commercial Services, will succeed Peter Waweru Njenga upon his retirement.
In a statement announcing the appointment, KenGen’s board said Kibet had been selected following a competitive recruitment process. The period before he takes office will allow for a handover.
