The Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) in Nairobi was illuminated on Friday night with a visual tribute to the late former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, popularly known as Baba, as Kenyans gathered in different parts of the country to remember him.
The display was part of a nationwide candle-lighting organised by the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) as the party began its October programme, dubbed “Mwezi wa Baba”, in honour of Raila.
Videos shared by the official ODM X account showed an illuminated image of Raila Odinga spinning around the iconic city landmark, as the name ‘Baba Raila Odinga’ proudly stood out at the building’s top section.
