The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) has clarified that suppliers doing business with government entities can use both valid Electronic Tax Invoice Management System (eTIMS) and Tax Invoice Management System (TIMS) invoices under the integrated government payment system.

In a public notice dated Thursday, October 15, KRA said the clarification was intended to address the invoice requirements under the integration between eTIMS and the Integrated Financial Management Information System (IFMIS).

The authority issued the notice in collaboration with the National Treasury, emphasising that both types of invoices are accepted, provided they meet the applicable validation requirements.
