Thousands of Nairobi residents are set to experience a three-day water supply interruption following an emergency shutdown of the NCT–Kigoro–Gigiri–Kabete pipeline.
In a notice, Nairobi City Water and Sewerage Company announced that the shutdown will begin on Monday, October 26, 2026, at 11:59 pm and end on Thursday, October 29, 2026, at 11:59 pm.
The company explained that Athi Water Works Development Agency (AWWDA) will shut down the pipeline to undertake emergency repairs.
