The National Assembly Security Committee Chairperson and Narok West Member of Parliament, Gabriel Ole Tongoyo, has assured residents, parents and learners that adequate measures have been put in place to ensure the smooth administration of the upcoming national examinations despite the expected El Niño rains.

Tongoyo said the necessary preparations had been made to safeguard the examination process, urging learners to remain focused on their studies as they prepare for the crucial assessments. His assurance comes amid concerns that the anticipated heavy rains could disrupt transport, accessibility to examination centres and the movement of examination materials, particularly in areas prone to flooding and poor road conditions.

The Ministry of Education has confirmed that the 2026 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examinations will proceed as scheduled, with rehearsals set for October 16, 2026, followed by written papers from November 2 to November 20, 2026.
