The National Police Service (NPS) has addressed an incident involving the Linda Mwananchi Movement politicians led by Edwin Sifuna in Kitale on Friday, October 16, 2026, in which two law enforcement officers sustained injuries and two government vehicles were damaged when the two convoys met.
In a press statement issued on the same day, the police said preliminary reports indicated that some politicians had contravened the Public Order Act, Cap 56.
Consequently, the service condemned the alleged conduct, saying it threatened public safety and undermined the rule of law.
