Party activity
People’s Party of Kenya (PPK) leader Ndindi Nyoro has accused
the Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP) leader Rigathi Gachagua of targeting him
with propaganda following the launch of his political outfit, instead of
uniting behind the common purpose of unseating President William Ruto in the
2027 General Election.
Speaking at PPK headquarters while addressing party aspirants
and delegates from across the country, the Kiharu Member of Parliament called
on Gachagua to stop the alleged attacks, warning that such
disagreements could undermine efforts to build a united opposition ahead of
next year’s races.
He claimed DCP had established a media team to portray him as
a government project, alleging that its members had shifted their attention
from challenging Ruto to discrediting him through vernacular radio stations.
