A Nairobi court has granted the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) 14 days to detain a police officer suspected of involvement in the murders of Dr Victoria Nthunya Mutiso and renowned city lawyer Matthew Kyalo Mbobu.
Kenneth Kipkeboi Sang was arrested in Eldoret over the weekend following an intelligence-led operation and was transferred to Nairobi.
The DCI has sought to detain Sang for 14 days to complete investigations into the two killings, interrogate him, record his statement, conduct searches and pursue possible recoveries before charging him.
