President William Ruto
has warned wealthy landowners in the Coast region against frustrating
squatters, saying his administration will not allow Kenyans to be harassed over
land they have occupied for years.
Speaking in Mombasa
on the seventh day of his Coast tour, President Ruto said he was ready to
confront land grabbers, directing residents not to leave the land they
currently occupy.
The Head of State spoke
at the Mama Ngina Waterfront in Mombasa during a ceremony where he issued at least 5,000
title deeds to residents.
