Oketch Salah, a friend of the late former Prime Minister Raila Amolo Odinga, has apologised to President William Ruto over the disrespect directed at him during the commemoration of Raila’s first death anniversary.
In a statement released on Saturday, October 17, 2026, Salah said he was embarrassed by the incident and regretted that the event, which was meant to honour Raila’s life and legacy, had been overshadowed by political differences.
“As a friend of the late Baba Raila Amolo Odinga, I offer my sincere apology for the disrespect directed towards you during the commemoration of the first anniversary of his passing,” Salah said.
