NAIROBI, Kenya, Nov 5 – President William Ruto has formally awarded a university charter to the International Leadership University (ILU), granting the institution full university status in a milestone for Kenya’s private higher education sector.
The charter was presented during a ceremony at State House, Nairobi, on Thursday, marking the culmination of the institution’s journey towards recognition as a fully fledged university.
Speaking during the ceremony, Ruto said the government was committed to ensuring that university education in Kenya meets international standards while supporting the country’s development priorities.
