President William Ruto has signed the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) Amendment Bill, 2026, into law, introducing new funding arrangements for the tax collector and incentives for staff who exceed revenue targets.
In a statement dated October 16, Ruto stated that he had assented to the bill, alongside the Tax Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2026, at Eldoret State Lodge in Uasin Gishu County.
Ruto added that KRA law is intended to strengthen the authority’s governance and financing, improve efficiency, and boost revenue collection without increasing taxes.
