Sustained engagement between military leadership and local authorities remains essential in fostering mutual understanding, strengthening cooperation and advancing collective efforts towards peace and stability.
The Deputy Commander, AUSSOM Sector II, Colonel Daniel Musau, paid a courtesy call on the President of Somalia’s Jubbaland State, His Excellency Ahmed Mohamed Islam, in Kismayo.
The meeting provided an opportunity for the two leaders to discuss matters of mutual interest, with emphasis on strengthening cooperation between the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF), serving under the African Union Support and Stabilization Mission in Somalia (AUSSOM), and the Jubbaland State Administration.
