A Nairobi court has declined to review bail for a manyoka stunt matatu driver accused of causing a crash that killed three passengers and left others injured along Enterprise Road in June.
Magistrate Paul Mutai ruled that Sammy Murigi Maina will remain in custody until key prosecution witnesses testify, citing compelling reasons to deny him bail at this stage of the proceedings.
The court noted the slow pace of the trial, with only one witness appearing in court today for hearing, but said the delay should not prejudice the proceedings.
