The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has commenced the process of identifying political aspirants with integrity and corruption-related issues ahead of the 2027 General Election.
Speaking on the sidelines of a High-Level Senior Leaders Meeting in Nairobi, EACC Chief Executive Officer Abdi Mohammud said the commission’s “List of Shame” is gradually taking shape and will be submitted to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) ahead of the races.
However, the anti-graft agency says legal hurdles could prevent some of the individuals flagged from being barred from contesting for political office.
