The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has recovered public land worth KSh 40 million following a court agreement that ended Macdonald Lijoodi Makaka’s claim to a property reserved for government housing more than three decades ago.
Makaka surrendered his rights to the 1.05-acre parcel in Milimani, near Kakamega State Lodge, after a legal challenge over its allocation.
Three government houses stand on the property, which belongs to the State Department for Housing and Urban Development.
