Cancer awareness, early detection and holistic well-being remain central to safeguarding personnel welfare, promoting healthy lifestyles and sustaining a resilient, mission-ready force. The Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) continues to champion preventive healthcare and collective support for individuals and families affected by cancer.
Guided by the theme “Every Cancer Story Is Unique, Every Journey Matters,” Kahawa Garrison held a cancer awareness event aimed at promoting early screening, encouraging healthy lifestyles and fostering compassion within the military community.
Presided over by Kahawa Garrison Commander, Brigadier Hussein Dida, the event brought together senior officers, officers, service personnel, Ministry of Defence civilian staff and families in a collective campaign for cancer awareness and holistic wellness.
