Five suspects accused of involvement in the murder of lawyer Matthew Kyalo Mbobu have pleaded not guilty before the Kibera High Court as the case proceeds, with a sixth suspect recently arrested expected to face a similar charge.
The accused are Rose Mbithe Mulwa, her children Chris Mulwa and Angela Mulwa, and police constables Julius Cheruiyot and Kennedy Kipkemei.
They are accused of planning the murder of Mbobu, who was shot dead in traffic along Magadi Road on September 9, 2025, while heading home from his office in Nairobi’s Central Business District.
