The Jubilee Party has appointed an inter-party committee
tasked with engaging fellow opposition political outfits on possible
cooperation and coalition-building ahead of the 2027 General Election.
In a statement released on Wednesday, Jubilee said its
National Executive Committee (NEC), chaired by party leader and presidential
candidate Dr. Fred Matiang’i, approved the formation of the committee during a
meeting held on October 27.
The committee, chaired by former Murang’a Senator Kembi Gitura,
will spearhead engagements with like-minded political parties and coalitions as
the opposition seeks to strengthen its unity ahead of the elections.
