Kenyans should brace for rain and thunderstorms in several parts of the country over the next five days, with the Kenya Meteorological Department forecasting showers across 30 counties between Sunday, October 18, and Thursday, October 22.
In a five-day forecast issued on Friday, October 16, the department said rainfall would affect parts of western Kenya, the Rift Valley, the central region, and parts of the eastern region, while coastal counties would see light showers on selected days.
The forecast also points to high daytime temperatures in northern Kenya, with Turkana expected to record a maximum of 38°C on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. Mandera will experience temperatures of up to 36°C during the forecast period.
