Customers who accidentally purchase electricity tokens worth more than they intended can request a refund or reallocation of the funds through Kenya Power’s official procedures.
However, Kenya Power noted that customers must act promptly and ensure the tokens remain unused, as purchases that have already been loaded onto a meter may not qualify for reversal.
According to the utility, refund or reallocation requests should be submitted within seven days of the transaction for a successful refund.
