Long Distance Drivers Association Issues Urgent Travel Advisory to Kenyan Drivers

The Long Distance Drivers and Conductors Association (LoDDCA) has issued an urgent travel and security advisory warning drivers and transport companies against travelling along a major transport corridor in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) following reports of renewed violence and the killing of a Kenyan truck driver.
In a security advisory dated October 15, 2026, the association expressed concern over the deteriorating security situation along the Mahagi-Pimbo-Djugu-Bunia-Kisangani corridor.
The association reported the killing of Kenyan driver Mohamed Tahlil and other deaths involving transport workers and civilians. It also sent condolences to the families, friends and colleagues affected by the incidents.
