Marsabit County’s health sector has received a major boost following the delivery of medical commodities worth approximately Ksh 16.2 million from the Kenya Medical Supplies Authority (KEMSA), with Marsabit County Referral Hospital recording an 89 per cent order fill rate.

The consignment includes essential medicines, non-pharmaceutical supplies and specialized products, including renal care commodities, aimed at improving access to healthcare and strengthening service delivery in public health facilities.

Speaking after the delivery, County executive Committee Member (CECM) for Health Services Malicha Boru described the 89 per cent as the highest ever recorded by Marsabit County Referral Hospital, surpassing the previous high of 79 per cent recorded in March across county health facilities.
