Nairobi among areas on alert as Kenya Met warns of heavy rainfall

The Kenya Meteorological Department has issued a weather advisory warning of moderate to heavy rainfall accompanied by strong winds across several parts of the country.
According to the department, rainfall exceeding 20 millimetres within 24 hours is expected in parts of the Coast, Northeastern Kenya, the Highlands East and West of the Rift Valley, the Central Highlands and sections of the Southeastern Lowlands.
Parts of Nairobi are also among the areas expected to experience heavy rainfall.
