New Twist in Eastleigh Building Collapse as NCA Reveals Developer, Contractor and Engineers

The National Construction Authority (NCA) has revealed the names of the developer, contractor, architect and structural engineer listed in its records for the building that collapsed in Eastleigh, Nairobi.
In a statement dated Friday, October 23, 2026, the authority identified 9th Street Plaza Limited as the developer, Stromax Holdings E.A Limited as the contractor, architect Emmanuel Mwangi Maina as the project architect and engineer Joseph Muturi Mugu as the structural engineer.
“The building was registered with the Authority on 30th July 2025 as a proposed development on Land Reference Number 36/II/40, 9th Street, Eastleigh, Kamkunji Sub-County, Nairobi County,” the NCA stated.
