President William Ruto’s promise to deliver a new Nithi Bridge in Tharaka Nithi County is moving from commitment to visible implementation, with construction preparations advancing at the site and residents witnessing the long-awaited project take shape.
The progress has given fresh meaning to a project that residents have discussed and awaited for years. What was previously a promise is now visible on the ground through an established construction site, preparations for a concrete batching plant and groundwork for the bridge pillars.
Lewis Mureithi, a mason working on the project, said the developments at the site demonstrate that the project is progressing towards the main construction phase.
