Nyamira man jailed 15 years over wife’s murder

The Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) has secured a 15-year prison sentence for Lawrence Gesore Sagero after he was convicted of murdering his wife, Nancy Mongina, in Nyamira County.
The court heard that Sagero murdered Mongina on April 18, 2024, at around 9:00 A.M. in Borioba Village, Borangi Location, Nyamira North Sub-County.
Sagero denied the murder charge during the trial, while the prosecution, led by Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions Joel Kibet Chirchir, presented evidence seeking to establish the elements of the offence beyond reasonable doubt.
