Victims of human rights violations, including those affected by demonstrations and public protests, have until November 14, 2026, to submit compensation claims, the Panel of Experts on Compensation of Victims of Human Rights Violations has announced.
In a statement, the panel urged victims who have not yet filed their claims to do so before the deadline, saying all submissions will undergo a thorough verification process.
The panel, chaired by Prof. Makau Mutua, assured claimants that they would be informed of the decisions on their applications, urging them to remain patient as the process continues.
