Sanlam Allianz Announces Internal Restructuring as Subsidiary Faces Dissolution

Sanlam Allianz Holdings (Kenya) PLC, listed on the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE), has announced plans to absorb the entire life insurance business of its wholly owned subsidiary, Sanlam Allianz Life Insurance (Kenya) Limited, as part of a restructuring to simplify its corporate structure and improve operational efficiency.
In a notice dated Thursday, October 15, 2026, the company said the proposed reorganization would transfer the subsidiary’s entire life insurance business, including all assets and liabilities, to the listed parent company as a going concern.
“The Board of Directors of Sanlam Allianz Holdings (Kenya) PLC (“the Company”) wishes to inform shareholders and the investing public that the Company is planning to reorganise the structure of its Group,” read part of the notice.
