Police in Limuru, Kiambu County, have arrested seven suspects linked to alleged gang rape and violent robbery incidents targeting residents and visitors around the area’s tea plantations and the popular Braxton Tunnel.
The arrests follow an intelligence-led security operation launched in response to concerns over criminal activities in the scenic locations, which attract visitors and tourists.
According to Limuru OCPD Mary Njoki, the suspects are believed to be part of a criminal network accused of terrorising members of the public, particularly those visiting the tea-growing zones and Braxton Tunnel.
