Several people are feared trapped after a building under construction collapsed along 9th Street in Nairobi’s Eastleigh area on Friday, October 23, 2026.
The collapse occurred along Yusuf Haji Avenue, next to Day to Day Supermarket, bringing business to a standstill as residents and traders gathered near the scene.
In a statement, the Kenya Red Cross confirmed that its response teams were heading to the scene following the incident.
