The Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) has spent Ksh1 million to relocate four traditional shrines at the Dongo Kundu Special Economic Zone in Mombasa, leaving 42 others yet to be moved.
The exercise involved KPA and an association of traditional healers following complaints from residents and investors over alleged black magic associated with the shrines.
Mgandi Kalinga, who spoke on behalf of the traditional healers, said the funds enabled them to relocate four shrines out of the 46 identified along the Dongo Kundu Special Economic Zone.
