A European artificial intelligence entrepreneur has accused the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) of suppressing evidence requests made by the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) in an ongoing case on gold fraud.
In a statement dated October 24, the entrepreneur alleged that the DCI had been suppressing the requests since March, raising concerns about the handling of criminal complaints and access to justice in Kenya.
The entrepreneur, who said they came to Kenya to establish a business, claimed to have made more than 50 visits to Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) offices while seeking assistance in relation to a dispute involving VeGrid and Thomas Ogutu.
